Yeh-Ju Weng

International Awards
・Architecture Master Prize (United States) / Industrial Buildings – Winner

There are many oil fields all over the world. It has been discovered that there is need to assess recoverable oil and then transport it to a refinery on land. Where refining is traditionally impossible due to the large area, the problem can be solved by designing to reduce the area and drilling and refining vertically. By combining the drilling tower and the refining tower, drilling and refining can be performed in the same space, thereby reducing transportation time and performance. The oil extracted from the well can be refined directly without transportation, thus saving future energy.
