Factory tower – Future industry tower

INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION SKYHIVE SKYSCRAPER CHALLENGE / SHORTLISTED

The base is located in Minato Ward, Tokyo, Japan, surrounded by viaduct and MRT stations. The area has a good public transport net work. There is a Hamarikyu Gardens on the northeast side. Sky tree tower on the east side and Tokyo Tower on the southwestern edge. Northwest is the Imperial Palace.

Connected to the base line. Tokyo Tower built in 1958 which belong to the product of the industrial revolution , contrast to Factory Tower . And known as the sky tree called Sky tree Tower Hamarikyu Gardens and Tokyo (the Imperial Palace) are the largest green area beside the base, just similar to the Factory Tower’s vertical green wall, both embellish Tokyo City.

Since two-thirds of the world population living in coastal areas, they could not escape from being submerged. Thus, by taking this opportunity, integrate both nature and the flooded area. The concept of Self- circulation as a sustainable elements is included in the plan that has been proposed to Shetzu Island regarding the water resources part.

Land is limited,so they have build the more higher building. But the height of buildings are fixed, It can only accommodate a fixed number of people. Ｗe propose a strategy : When our units are stacked up, we can break the original building height limit, because the original building units becomes a part of the structure, it can accommodate more people effectively, and let building more stable. Hexagonal is the most stable structure in two dimensions, big structural units can be stack up, and also stack up the greenbelt.
